Charged with Abuse of Corpse Without Legal Authority and Tampering with Government Records, Bui reportedly used a former employee&#8217;s name to issue 128 fraudulent death certificates and admitted to these actions. <\/p>\n<p>An investigation began when the employee reported her activities to the Texas Funeral Service Commission (TFSC), which subsequently informed the police. Bui allegedly injected formaldehyde into cadaver limbs to study its effects and directed employees to perform similar experiments. A search of her facility uncovered power tools with human remains and 15 mutilated bodies linked to these experiments.<\/p>\n<p>Bui claimed her actions were part of a collaboration with a medical training company, MedtoMarket, but the TFSC clarified that using human remains for research is illegal for commercial embalming establishments. \t\t\t\t}); \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>An investigation began after a former embalmer for the company informed the Texas Funeral Service Commission about Bui&rsquo;s alleged actions.<\/p>\n<p>The employee told the TFSC that Bui issued 10 death certificates under his name without his consent.<\/p>\n<p>Bui admitted to this in her arrest affidavit.<\/p>\n<p>Austin Police Department investigators discovered Bui had used the employee&rsquo;s name 128 times to forge or amend death certificates.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is a pretty usual one because somebody actually forged death certificates many times in order to facilitate the activity they were involved in,&rdquo; Sam Bassett, an Austin criminal defense attorney not involved with the case, said of the situation, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox7austin.com\/news\/austin-crime-adeline-bui-capital-mortuary-services-arrest-charges\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KTBC-TV<\/a>&nbsp;in Austin.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">A woman has been arrested for allegedly conducting &ldquo;experiments&rdquo; Bui&rsquo;s arrest affidavit read.<\/p>\n<p>When she was done with the severed parts, she would allegedly cremate them.<\/p>\n<p>The TFSC informed Austin police on April 2 that it was investigating Capital Mortuary, before issuing a cease and desist letter to the company on April 10.<\/p>\n<p>Police executed a search warrant that same day.<\/p>\n<p>Bui told police that she also ordered her employees to experiment with formaldehyde, including &ldquo;cutting heads, arms and spines from remains sent to her facility,&rdquo; Bui&rsquo;s arrest affidavit read.<\/p>\n<p>She said about 15 bodies had been mutilated and experimented on at the mortuary, according to KTBC.<\/p>\n<p>As the Austin Police Department searched the building, they also discovered household power tools which appeared to have human tissue on them.
