Democrats hate, hate, hate, hate what their congressional leaders are doing in Washington right now on the key issue of the day right now, the economy.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The bleak figures hit numerous Democratic congressional leaders. And keep in mind, if you&rsquo;re thinking about a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/senate\/3384936\/schumer-leadership-becomes-issue-in-2026-democratic-senate-primaries\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"primary challenge\">primary challenge<\/a>, it would be a few years away,&rdquo; he said, adding that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/most-americans-think-biden-is-neither-stable-nor-in-good-health-poll-shows\/\" title=\"Most Americans Think Biden Is Neither \u2019Stable\u2019 Nor \u2018In Good Health\u2019, Poll Shows\">higher favorability rating<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I never thought I&rsquo;d see the day in which just 52% of New York Democrats would view Chuck Schumer unfavorably. It&rsquo;s almost unfathomable,&rdquo; Enten said.<\/p>\n<p>He then transitioned to a Marist Poll showing a majority of New York Democrats no longer believe Schumer should remain in the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This screams, siren should be going off: &lsquo;primary challenge, primary challenge, primary challenge!&rsquo; When you&rsquo;re a Democrat in New York and these are your ratings, this is a big wake-up call if you&rsquo;re Chuck Schumer,&rdquo; Enten said.<\/p>\n<p>Criticism of Schumer exploded in March when he&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/senate\/3349691\/chuck-schumer-postpones-book-tour-democratic-uproar-spending-deal-vote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">allowed the Republican-authored continuing resolution to pass<\/a> in order to prevent a government shutdown. The move was derided by many Democrats as helping President Donald Trump and the Republican Party, leading some on the Left to suggest that his time to step down had come. Under a shutdown, the executive branch has sole power to determine what is &lsquo;essential,&rsquo; and they can determine without any court supervision.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Democratic Party has experienced an identity crisis following its crushing defeat in November.
