A key element of the order was the establishment of a Task Force to review and enhance laws and policies across federal agencies regarding religious freedoms. <\/p>\n<p>The first meeting of this Task Force occurred at the Department of Justice, featuring Navy SEAL Phil Mendes, who had faced discrimination for his refusal to comply wiht a COVID vaccine mandate without a religious exemption. Attorney General pam Bondi highlighted Mendes&#8217;s testimony as part of efforts to address grievances against the government\u2019s treatment of Christians. She asserted that the Task Force\u2019s purpose is to rectify abuses and ensure the protection of religious rights. Among those attending was a man once victimized by the administration of former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-elizabeth-warren-stammers-interviewer-uses-words-joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joe Biden<\/a>, who now has a voice with a powerful and attentive audience.<\/p>\n<p>Navy SEAL Phil Mendes, who was denied a religious exemption for the COVID vaccine, served as a witness at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/attorney-generals-ai-task-force-holds-its-first-meeting-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Attorney General\u2019s AI ... holds its first ... - Washington Examiner\">task force&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s first meeting. His role, and that of other witnesses and victims who stand against the injustice done to them and others, is a key one as the task force tackles bias.<\/p>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/pr\/attorney-general-pamela-bondi-hosts-first-task-force-meeting-eradicate-anti-christian-bias\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Justice Department news release<\/a> about the meeting, Mendes refused to be administered the vaccine despite the Defense Department&rsquo;s denial of his exemption request.
