Robert Garcia (D-CA), Maxwell Frost (D-FL), Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ), and Maxine Dexter (D-OR)\u2014visited El Salvador too advocate for the return of Kilmar Abrego garcia, a Salvadoran immigrant who was deported from the U.S. Their trip follows a recent visit by Senator Chris Van hollen (D-MD), who expressed concern about Abrego Garcia&#8217;s well-being and his due process rights. The lawmakers aim to draw attention to what they describe as the Trump Administration&#8217;s illegal actions contradicting a Supreme Court ruling related to Abrego Garcia&#8217;s case. They argue that his deportation disregarded his legal status and constitutional rights,framing it as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/washington-post-ceo-warns-employees-layoffs-are-coming-soon-if-more-of-them-dont-voluntarily-quit\/\" title=\"Washington Post CEO issues layoff warning, urges voluntary resignations\">broader issue affecting<\/a> many undocumented immigrants. The trip, classified as a Congressional Delegation, was <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">initially denied taxpayer funding<\/a> by House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, who stated that the representatives would need to finance the visit themselves. Robert Garcia (D-CA), <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/maxwell-frost\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Maxwell Frost<\/a> (D-FL), Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ) and Maxine Dexter (D-OR)&nbsp;arrived in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/world\/3385698\/bukele-proposes-swap-maduro-includes-venezuelan-migrants-deported-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"El Salvador\">El Salvador<\/a> on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Their trip follows that of Sen. Abrego Garcia that demands the Administration facilitate Abrego Garcia&rsquo;s return and due process in the United States,&rdquo; they wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/scotus-overturns-chevron-doctrine-upends-administrative-state\/\" title=\"SCOTUS Overturns Chevron Doctrine, Upends Administrative State\">high court&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s decision was &ldquo;per&nbsp;curiam,&rdquo; which does not necessarily mean it was unanimous. &ldquo;Per curiam&rdquo; decisions are made without rendering written opinions, as Justice Sonia Sotomayor offered merely a statement along with Justices Elena Kagan and Kentanji Brown Jackson.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Garcia said he is going on the trip to &ldquo;remind&rdquo; Americans of the hundreds of other illegal immigrants who were also sent to El Salvador, suggesting that they did not receive &ldquo;due process.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Ansari cited her history with her parents fleeing Iran when its citizens were &ldquo;disappeared&rdquo; as her reason for flying to El Salvador. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I refuse to sit back and watch it happen here, too. Kilmar Abrego Garcia&rsquo;s illegal abduction and President Trump&rsquo;s complete disregard of due process and a unanimous Supreme Court ruling are deeply disturbing,&rdquo; Yassamin Ansari said. &ldquo;If this can happen to Mr. Abrego Garcia, it can happen to any of us.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Dexter alleged &ldquo;his due process rights [were] ripped away.&rdquo; At the time of his deportation, Abrego Garcia had a&nbsp;&ldquo;withholding&nbsp;of removal&rdquo; order, which prohibited him from being sent to El Salvador. The administration has said it was following through on a deportation order that remained active even after Abrego Garcia received his new status.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is not just one family&rsquo;s nightmare; it is a constitutional crisis that should outrage every single one of us,&rdquo; Dexter said in a press release. &ldquo;Our constitutional rights are on the line.&rdquo;&#8239;<\/p>\n<p>ICE officials&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3351491\/venezuelan-migrants-deported-alien-enemies-act\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">confirmed<\/a>&nbsp;that these immigrants were deported under Code Title 8, which allows federal authorities to quickly remove certain migrants who cross into the country illegally. They were also deported under the&nbsp;Alien&nbsp;Enemies Act, a 1798 law, which allows the president to remove migrants immediately if they come from invading countries in times of war. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Donald Trump and ICE are not above the law,&rdquo; Frost said. &ldquo;We cannot and will not let Donald Trump get away with this.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Garcia and Frost attempted to classify the trip as a Congressional Delegation, or CODEL, to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/3385014\/james-comer-denies-house-democrats-request-delegation-el-salvador\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"denied the request\">denied the request<\/a>. Comer told the representatives that if they &ldquo;wish to meet with&rdquo; Abrego Garcia they would have to spend their &ldquo;own money.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;But I will not approve a single dime of taxpayer funds for use on the excursion you have requested,&rdquo; Comer said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/immigration\/3385594\/john-kennedy-kilmar-abrego-garcia-deportation-screwup\/\"><strong>JOHN KENNEDY ADMITS KILMAR ABREGO GARCIA&rsquo;S DEPORTATION WAS &lsquo;A SCREWUP&rsquo;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>El Salvador&rsquo;s president Nayib Bukele committed to keeping Abrego Garcia, as the Trump administration classified him as a member of MS-13. <\/p>\n<p>However, the Salvadorian is no longer in the terrorism confinement center, Centro de Confinamiento del Terrorismo, referred to as the&nbsp;CECOT.
