The researchers worked on reducing contamination in powdered baby formula.<\/p>\n<p>The FDA is also reportedly looking to cut aspects of the food safety inspection program, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/fda-food-safety-inspections-plans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"report\">report<\/a> from CBS News. The preliminary plans, which may require Congressional approval, could shift more of the inspections to states or local officials.
