The trial brought in court testimony, including that Trump paid&nbsp;hush&nbsp;money to multiple women in 2018 who said they had an affair with him, to demonstrate his pattern of lying on documents. This was to prove he should not have received the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-sees-delays-in-civil-fraud-verdict-and-election-interference-trial\/\" title=\"...&#039;s civil fraud verdict and election interference trial face delays\">favorable business loans<\/a> he did.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;[T]his case by Letitia James, which was the one &mdash; I was told by Trump insiders &mdash; was the one that bothered him the most all along. It&rsquo;s his company. His near and dear company. And what&rsquo;s being alleged in this lawsuit is that that case was pursued by an alleged fraudster herself,&rdquo; Kelly said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3375530\/trump-doj-investigate-chris-krebs-miles-taylor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong>TRUMP DIRECTS DOJ TO INVESTIGATE FORMER OFFICIALS CHRIS KREBS, MILES TAYLOR<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche referring James&rsquo;s case for review. Pulte&rsquo;s allegations also included a mortgage James applied for that inaccurately recorded the number of bedrooms to seem smaller, and a case where James was listed as her father&rsquo;s wife for a mortgage in 1993.<\/p>\n<p>After entering office, Trump revoked James&rsquo;s security clearance in a veiled retaliation for the criminal case against him.
