one of the deputies commented about the 2:05 mark in the video above.<\/p>\n<p>He was apparently referring to the distinctive physical layout of the place, but the description could just as easily apply to the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">disorderly mess authorities found<\/a> after the bodies of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/authorities-release-disturbing-update-bodies-gene-hackman-wife-found\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hackman and Arakawa<\/a> were discovered on Feb. 26.<\/p>\n<p>Clothing was strewn everywhere, drawers were open, various belongings were scattered without any apparent order. It does not look like the estate of one of the biggest names in Hollywood history.<\/p>\n<p>However, in a touching sign, one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gene-hackmans-dog-made-one-last-heroic-act-medics-arrived-proved-dogs-really-mans-best-friend\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the couple&rsquo;s dogs<\/a> was present, clearly refusing to leave his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rolling-stone-film-critic-warns-against-seeing-movie-the-whale-reinforces-the-notion-that-fat-people-have-brought-their-suffering-upon-themselves\/\" title=\"Rolling Stone Film Critic Warns Against Seeing Movie \u201cThe Whale\u201d: \u201cReinforces the Notion That Fat People Have Brought Their Suffering Upon Themselves\u201d\">late mistress<\/a>. (Arakawa&rsquo;s body, on the floor of a bathroom, is blurred in the video.)<\/p>\n<p>The dog caught the eye of some commenters on social media.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Sweet German Shepard staying by his Momma&rsquo;s side even in the end. Rodent droppings and nests were found in other buildings on the grounds, the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/04\/15\/us-news\/dead-rat-nest-and-droppings-discovered-on-gene-hackmans-property-after-wife-died-of-disease-linked-to-rodents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>That activity is likely what led to Arakawa&rsquo;s death. She died of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/one-worst-deaths-possible-hackman-wifes-causes-death-confirmed-grisly-revelation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hantavirus infection<\/a>, a disease that spreads from animals to humans, which she may have contracted through exposure to droppings.<\/p>\n<p>An investigation into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/haunting-final-internet-search-gene-hackmans-wife-revealed-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the couple&rsquo;s deaths<\/a> &mdash; including autopsies &mdash; showed Arakawa, 65, died about Feb. 12.
