Broom, 58, of Altoona, Alabama, was fatally injured upon impact, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. The collision threw two more men overboard: John K. Clark, 44, of Cullman, Alabama, and Jeffrey C. Little, 62, of Brandon, Mississippi, who drowned.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is a heartbreaking moment for our entire organization,&rdquo; MLF Executive Vice President and General Manager Kathy Fennel said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/majorleaguefishing.com\/press-releases\/major-league-fishing-cancels-final-day-of-invitational-stop-3-at-lewis-smith-lake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"statement\">statement<\/a>. &ldquo;Our deepest condolences go out to the families and friends of those affected by this tragedy.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The crash involved Major League Fishing angler Flint Davis of Leesburg, Georgia, who was competing at the Tackle Warehouse Invitationals. In March, at Davis&rsquo;s last event, the Toyota Series, he took seventh.<\/p>\n<p>Lewis Smith Lake is a 21,200-acre lake&nbsp;with largemouth, striped, and spotted bass.
