Greene defended herself by telling reporters she has &ldquo;a fiduciary agreement with my portfolio manager&rdquo; and that she does not &ldquo;place my buys myself.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;That&rsquo;s something that my portfolio manager does for me, and he did a great job. Guess what he did? He bought the dip. And that&rsquo;s what anybody that has any financial sense does when they know the market&rsquo;s going to be going down. That was obvious to everyone,&rdquo; Greene told reporters Tuesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/georgiarecorder.com\/2025\/04\/15\/protestors-arrested-shocked-with-tasers-at-u-s-rep-marjorie-taylor-greenes-town-hall\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"per\">per<\/a> the <em>Georgia Recorder<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Greene&rsquo;s comments come after House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) targeted the GOP congresswoman in his call to ban members of Congress from trading stocks while on MSNBC&rsquo;s <em>Inside with Jen Psaki<\/em> Monday evening.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;So many of these people are crooks, liars, and frauds, and Marjorie Taylor Greene is, of course, exhibit A. We are seeing corruption unfold before us in real-time. And House Democrats and Senate Democrats are going to partner together to make sure we, of course, shine a spotlight on these issues,&rdquo;&nbsp;Jeffries said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;One, we do need to change the law so that sitting members of Congress cannot trade stock. Period.
