Janet Mills (D-ME) at a luncheon. Trump singled out the governor and asked if she would comply with his policy on transgender athletes. Mills replied that she would comply with &ldquo;state and federal law.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Well, we are the federal law. You better do it. You better do it because you&rsquo;re not going to get any federal funding at all if you don&rsquo;t,&rdquo; Trump said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We&rsquo;ll see you in court,&rdquo; Mills shot back.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/education\/3378623\/trump-pull-maine-k-12-funding-judge-pauses-usda-school-lunch-cuts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">TRUMP ADMINISTRATION MOVES TO PULL MAINE K-12 FUNDING<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Good, I&rsquo;ll see you in court. And enjoy your life after governor because I don&rsquo;t think you&rsquo;ll be in elected politics,&rdquo; Trump said.<\/p>\n<p>Asked by a reporter about Mills&rsquo;s recent remarks that male athletes competing in women&rsquo;s sports is rare, Bondi replied, &ldquo;If one young woman is in jeopardy &hellip; that&rsquo;s enough for us to be standing up here.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit comes after the Department of Education <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ed.gov\/about\/news\/press-release\/us-department-of-education-announces-consequences-maines-title-ix-noncompliance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">said<\/a> days ago that it referred an investigation into Maine to the DOJ.
