It has always been a violent crime.<\/p>\n<p>I know some of you may think that the police are disagreeable folk, but be forewarned that no matter what you think of them, there is no such thing as &ldquo;nonviolent&rdquo; resistance to arrest. If you are under that misapprehension, I can assure you, no matter what your political persuasion, that you&rsquo;ll be relieved of those misapprehensions in a right hurry.<\/p>\n<p>You would think this would be common sense. Even if <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/police-reveal-major-inconsistencies-viral-story-dad-arrested-allegedly-leaving-young-kids-mcdonalds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">police<\/a> sometimes use excessive force to subdue a subject, the fact that they have to use force on someone who&rsquo;s resisting arrest should be a non-issue. That&rsquo;s especially true when law enforcement officers are subduing someone who&rsquo;s acting in a threatening way toward a public official who&rsquo;s a known target.<\/p>\n<p>I say these things not because they&rsquo;re controversial, but because they shouldn&rsquo;t be. On Wednesday night, those hanging around social media got a first-hand demonstration of why some people leave their common sense at the door when they don&rsquo;t like someone.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday night, in Cobb County, Georgia, Rep. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/takedown-century-npr-chief-ends-charbroiled-scorching-questions-past-tweets-mtg-rep-gill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marjorie Taylor Greene<\/a> was holding a town hall meeting that was supposed to be for constituents to voice their concerns. Had they gone away when they were told it was time to go, it&rsquo;s clear this wouldn&rsquo;t have happened; they didn&rsquo;t, and it did.<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s a bad evening when the most thoughtful comment from the left is from Donald Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/former-fbi-official-linked-russiagate-probe-sentenced-4-years-foreign-conspiracy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Russiagate<\/a> pusher Seth Abramson: &ldquo;I wonder if there&rsquo;s another timeline in which Marjorie Taylor Greene has been convicted of both Seditious Conspiracy over January 6 and Insider Trading. Certainly, it&rsquo;s not this one. This should be common knowledge; even if police occasionally use excessive force, the necessity for them to exert force on someone resisting arrest should not be debated\u2014especially when dealing with individuals posing a threat to public officials who are often targeted. <\/p>\n<p>I mention this not because it&#8217;s controversial but because it shouldn&#8217;t be. Recently, during a town hall meeting in Cobb County, Georgia hosted by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for her constituents&#8217; concerns, several individuals from the radical left were arrested\u2014at least three according to CBS News\u2014with one requiring a taser due to their resistance.<\/p>\n<p>Reports indicate that two of those arrested faced charges for obstructing law enforcement and simple battery against an officer while another was charged with using vulgar language.
