Prosecutors revealed that Arnold admitted to details of the crime, leading to renewed investigations into a 2016 incident were the brothers allegedly sexually assaulted two women after luring them to an apartment under the pretense of helping them find shoes. The victims had reported the assault years prior, but the case remained unsolved until Arnold&#8217;s admissions prompted police to revisit the evidence. about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/neighborhood-shocked-helpful-59-year-old-local-arrested-cold-case-murder-four-decades-ago\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dormant case<\/a>, according to prosecutors.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Luciano Panici, Jr., citing the &ldquo;depraved nature of this case,&rdquo; \t\t\t\t}); \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>Sexual assaults have a ten-year statute of limitations in Illinois<\/p>\n<p>Although the victims made police reports in 2016, investigators had not made any <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-huge-update-cold-case-around-real-life-sheriff-turned-legend-walking-tall-films-wifes-body-exhumed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">headway<\/a> on the case until last fall, when, according to prosecutors speaking at a Friday hearing, Arnold &ldquo;applied to the Chicago Police Department and consented to a polygraph,&rdquo; according to <a href=\"https:\/\/abc7chicago.com\/post\/chicago-police-department-applicants-interview-leads-arrests-2016-kidnapping-rape-investigation-prosecutors-say\/16158952\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WLS-TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;On that polygraph form, [Arnold] made admissions regarding this incident,&rdquo; prosecutors said. &ldquo;The details provided by [defendant] Arnold &hellip; allowed detectives to cross-reference the facts and locate the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">original case incident report<\/a> from 2016.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>On Sept. 10, 2016, Harris and his cousin, who has since died, went shoe shopping with two women.<\/p>\n<p>The women, who were seeking &ldquo;new Jordan 12 shoes,&rdquo; could not find their sizes at a mall and went back to an apartment d by Harris and the now-dead cousin, where they were told they would meet someone who could get them what they wanted, a police report said.<\/p>\n<p>When they reached the apartment, the women were robbed of their jewelry. Police have accused Arnold of posing as the robber.<\/p>\n<p>The women were then forced to have sex with Harris and his cousin.<\/p>\n<p>In CWB&rsquo;s report, Arnold was accused of ordering the women to have sex.
