Torres was defending Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an alleged member of the MS-13 gang who was deported to El Salvador. torres argued that if due process is disregarded, any American could be wrongfully targeted for deportation. Democrats have pointed to a minor lack of paperwork as evidence that he was mistakenly deported.
