However, he said none of these individuals were specifically brought on to discuss the war in Gaza.<\/p>\n<p>    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"747\" height=\"420\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ah6kirkSwTg?list=PLk1Sqn_f33KuWf3tW9BBe_4TP7x8l0m3T\" title=\"Joe Rogan Experience #2303 - Dave Smith &amp; Douglas Murray\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>    <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Do you think you&rsquo;ve tilted one way?&rdquo; Murray asked. &ldquo;Just with the guests that you&rsquo;ve had.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Yeah,&rdquo; Rogan answered, addressing the show and not his personal views. &ldquo;Probably more titled toward the idea that, perhaps, the way they&rsquo;ve done it is barbaric.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Murray called Rogan&rsquo;s selection of guests &ldquo;interesting,&rdquo; given the size of his platform.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;If you&rsquo;re gonna interview historians of the conflict or historians in general, why would you get somebody like Ian Carroll?&rdquo; Murray asked, pointing to Rogan&rsquo;s interview in March, during which Carroll posited that Jeffrey Epstein was connected to Israel.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Yeah, but Ian Carroll, I didn&rsquo;t bring him on for that purpose,&rdquo; Rogan said. &ldquo;I brought him on because I wanted to find out, like, how one gets involved in the whole conspiracy theory business?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;There&rsquo;s been a tilt in the conversation, in both conversations, in the last couple of years, and it&rsquo;s largely to do with people who have appointed themselves experts, who are not experts,&rdquo; Murray replied.<\/p>\n<p>Rogan dismissed any claim that Carroll is a self-appointed expert, and Murray changed the focus of his argument to Darryl Cooper, a critic of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and target of antisemitism allegations.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Have you ever absorbed any of his material?&rdquo; Rogan asked Murray.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I&rsquo;ve tried. It&rsquo;s pretty hard to listen to somebody who says, &lsquo;I don&rsquo;t know what I&rsquo;m talking about, but, now, I&rsquo;m gonna talk,&#8217;&rdquo; Murray replied. Or, &lsquo;I don&rsquo;t know about this,&rsquo; or &lsquo;I&rsquo;m not capable of debating this historian, but I&rsquo;m gonna just tell you what I think.&#8217;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Rogan and guest Dave Smith, a comedian, disagreed with Murray&rsquo;s depiction of Cooper&rsquo;s motives.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;What Darryl was saying is he doesn&rsquo;t really like doing debates,&rdquo; Smith said. &ldquo;He likes to do long format stuff where he can really explain his position.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;If you throw a lot of sh*t out&rdquo; there, there&rsquo;s some point at which &lsquo;I&rsquo;m just raising questions&rsquo; is not a valid thing,&rdquo; Murray contested. &ldquo;You&rsquo;re not raising questions. You&rsquo;re not asking questions. You&rsquo;re telling people something.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Murray added that plenty of individuals are doing that, including Smith. This led to an exchange between the three men, during which Rogan and Smith attempted to refute the allegation.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Well, you&rsquo;re not a geopolitics guy, in general, are you?&rdquo; Murray asked.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t even know exactly what you&rsquo;re asking,&rdquo; Smith replied.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I&rsquo;m saying you&rsquo;ve decided, being a comedian, you&rsquo;ve decided now to become somebody who talks about Israel,&rdquo; Murray said.<\/p>\n<p>Smith said he discusses the conflicts that his government is directly involved in and criticized Murray for making his argument through an appeal to authority.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/premium\/3375205\/douglas-murray-on-a-matter-of-life-vs-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">DOUGLAS MURRAY ON A MATTER OF LIFE VS.
