This decision came after the department resolute that the initiative was improperly based on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles. He said that the district will continue its work without federal oversight.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Some in the region are concerned that the school district will abandon implementing the resolutions&rsquo; recommendations.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The agreement exists because the Rapid City Area school board needed to be held accountable to implementing those provisions,&rdquo; Nick Tilsen, the founder of a Rapid City-based indigenous advocacy organization, <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/school-civil-rights-dei-dakota-a98f3f943c6e580b8044c602e5580f38\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">told<\/a> the <em>Associated Press<\/em>. &ldquo;They can&rsquo;t just simply say that they&rsquo;re doing it, because the data already shows that they&rsquo;re not implementing these things.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/education\/3232494\/trump-wants-to-abolish-the-department-of-education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong>HOW TRUMP&rsquo;S PROMISE TO ABOLISH THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION WOULD WORK<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>President Donald Trump&rsquo;s administration has taken a much different approach to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/retired-nfl-player-calls-for-separate-transgender-category-of-sports-after-biden-executive-order\/\" title=\"Retired NFL Player Calls For Separate Transgender Category Of Sports After Biden Executive Order\">anti-discrimination laws<\/a> than the Biden administration.<\/p>\n<p>The Trump administration has already revoked another civil rights resolution agreement involving the removal of books from a Forsyth County School District library in Georgia.
