Plus, he added, Democrats have failed to come up with a winning anti-Trump message.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;While voters have mixed views on tariffs as a singular concept, Trump&rsquo;s image is holding steady, and support among his base, especially on tariffs, remains strong,&rdquo; Buchanan said. &ldquo;Even among Republicans who are unsure about tariffs, they&rsquo;re willing to trust Trump&rsquo;s lead.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>For Democrats, Trump is a more elusive target in his second term. The 2017 rant-and-scream plays aren&rsquo;t working because voters have seen them before and are nonplussed, Buchanan told Secrets.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Trump was a new threat to the Left and the establishment in 2017,&rdquo; the pollster said, adding, &ldquo;He&rsquo;s an old threat now. That&rsquo;s why you don&rsquo;t see the same intensity from liberals against him this go-around.
