Kristina Wong <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2025\/04\/08\/exclusive-senior-cia-official-who-facilitated-bidens-military-covid-19-vaccine-mandate-fired\/?utm_source=substack&amp;utm_medium=email\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> claims from an unnamed source that Terry Adirim, who previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/About\/Biographies\/Biography\/Article\/2604503\/dr-terry-adirim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">worked<\/a> at the Pentagon as assistant secretary of defense for health affairs, &ldquo;was recently fired&rdquo; from a role she reportedly held at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). According to Wong, the source said that Adirim &ldquo;had decamped in December to the CIA as director of CIA Centers for Global Health Services until about a week ago,&rdquo; and that her dismissal &ldquo;was related to her role in forcing service members to choose between taking a vaccine that was under Emergency Use Authorization [EUA] or being kicked out.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-266526848\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Adirim&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/terryadirim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LinkedIn profile<\/a> indicates that she started working as a &ldquo;senior executive&rdquo; within the federal government in December, although it does not specify which agency she was employed with. <\/p>\n<p>During her time at the Defense Department, the Biden appointee issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dossier.today\/p\/trump-admin-fires-biden-holdover\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">memo<\/a> in September 2021 instructing agency health care providers to treat the FDA-approved Comirnaty vaccine and the Pfizer-BioNTech shot &mdash; which had only received EUA from the FDA &mdash; as &ldquo;interchangeable.&rdquo;  <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Per FDA guidance, these two vaccines are &lsquo;interchangeable&rsquo; and DoD health care providers should &lsquo;use doses distributed under the EUA to administer the vaccination series as if the doses were the licensed vaccine,&#8217;&rdquo; Adirim wrote. &ldquo;Consistent with FDA guidance, DoD health care providers will use both the PfizerBioNTech COVID-19 vaccine and the Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccine interchangeably for the purpose of vaccinating Service members in accordance with [DOD policy].&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The memo was issued weeks after then-Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin <a href=\"https:\/\/media.defense.gov\/2021\/Aug\/25\/2002838826\/-1\/-1\/0\/Memorandum-for-mandatory-coronavirus-disease-2019-vaccination-of-department-of-defense-service-members.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> that service members would be required to get the Covid jab. <\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2025\/04\/08\/exclusive-senior-cia-official-who-facilitated-bidens-military-covid-19-vaccine-mandate-fired\/?utm_source=substack&amp;utm_medium=email\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">described<\/a> by Wong, <a href=\"https:\/\/uscode.house.gov\/view.xhtml?req=granuleid:USC-prelim-title10-section1107a&amp;num=0&amp;edition=prelim\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">federal law<\/a> specifies that &ldquo;a defense secretary can order service members to take an FDA-approved vaccine, but he cannot legally order service members to take an EUA-manufactured vaccine without seeking and obtaining a waiver from the president.&rdquo; Any such waiver signed by the president must then be reported to Congress by the defense secretary &mdash; a scenario which never seemingly occurred regarding the DOD&rsquo;s Covid shot mandate, according to the Breitbart report. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Austin had pledged in an August 9, 2021, memo to service members that he would seek a presidential waiver, but it is not clear he ever did so. He also&nbsp;pledged that his order would only use the FDA-approved vaccine,&rdquo; the report reads. <\/p>\n<p>While the military&rsquo;s Covid vaccine mandate was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/news\/national-news\/articles\/2023-01-10\/pentagon-formally-rescinds-covid-19-vaccine-mandate-for-troops\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">repealed<\/a> in January 2023 following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/biden-signs-defense-bill-repeals-155634848.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">passage<\/a> of a defense bill containing a provision nuking the edict, the damage had already been done. More than 8,700 service members were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/pentagon-begins-outreach-reenlist-troops-224232867.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">effectively forced out<\/a> of the armed forces after choosing to forgo the experimental mRNA shot. <\/p>\n<p>In compliance with an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/presidential-actions\/2025\/01\/reinstating-service-members-discharged-under-the-militarys-covid-19-vaccination-mandate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">executive order<\/a> from President Trump, chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SeanParnellATSD\/status\/1909599016561566160\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> on Monday that the Pentagon has begun &ldquo;outreach to ensure each of these individuals receives clear information on how to pursue reinstatement.&rdquo; These service members, according to the spokesman, will have until April 1, 2026, to do so. <\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dossier.today\/p\/trump-admin-fires-biden-holdover\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">observed<\/a> by independent journalist Jordan Schachtel, Adirim is &ldquo;a devoted [D]emocrat political activist and, as a medical doctor, advocates for [so-called] &lsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC6503498\/\">gender-affirming prescriptions<\/a>&lsquo; for &lsquo;transgender&rsquo; children, or in plain [E]nglish, she&rsquo;s for sterilizing children.&rdquo; The Biden appointee has also locked her <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TerryAdirimMD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">X account<\/a> and &ldquo;never explained publicly why she signed off on the Biden White House&rsquo;s DOD mandate,&rdquo; Schachtel noted.<\/p>\n<p>The CIA did not respond to The Federalist&rsquo;s request for comment.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<div class=\"article-author-description fst-italic\">      Shawn Fleetwood is a staff writer for The Federalist and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington.
