\t\t\t\t}); \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>The Dodgers were visiting the White House for the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">traditional sports champions&#038;rsquo<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trumps-white-house-invite-patrick-mahomes-travis-kelce-hits-major-issue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">White House visit<\/a> Monday, with nary a controversy in sight.<\/p>\n<p>(If you&rsquo;ll recall, Trump&rsquo;s first term was marked by a number of leftist players and teams <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/president-trump-already-uninviting-nba-champions-to-white-house-after-lebrons-statement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opting to forego<\/a> the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trumps-white-house-invite-to-mahomes-kelce-has-big-issue-we-have-six-players\/\" title=\"Trump\u2019s ... Invite to Mahomes, Kelce Has Big Issue: &#039;We Have Six Players&#039;\">traditional visit<\/a>, while making a spectacle out of it.)<\/p>\n<p>Leave it to WWE Hall of Famer Donald Trump to liven up the affairs with a pro-wrestling style quip at the expense of some of his most noted antagonists.<\/p>\n<p>And frankly, it couldn&rsquo;t have happened to a more deserving <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pam-bondi-fires-back-dem-senators-bullying-routine-not-homework\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pair<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/adam-schiff-gets-reminded-past-virtue-signals-truth-senate-floor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">guys<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While speaking at the podium in front of a gaggle of reporters, Trump (likely) veered off-script to seemingly take a shot at California Sens. Adam Schiff and Alex Padilla &mdash; and just listen to the response from the Dodgers:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Funniest <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/POTUS?\">@POTUS<\/a> of all time &#128514; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/CFP6BtpYxC\">pic.twitter.com\/CFP6BtpYxC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TrumpWarRoom\/status\/1909272848662773845?\">April 7, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>No, this writer doesn&rsquo;t run that social media account, even though he wholeheartedly agrees with the &ldquo;Funniest @POTUS of all time&rdquo; caption, but even Trump&rsquo;s most hardened critics have to admit that the laughter from the audience felt legitimate.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We have a couple of senators here,&rdquo; Trump seemed to ad lib. And with a perfect comedic slowdown, he added, &ldquo;I just don&rsquo;t particularly like them, so I won&rsquo;t introduce them.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>That remark drew laughter from all around the room, including behind Trump, where the Dodgers were standing.<\/p>\n<p>Even Trump let a pretty big grin through.<\/p>\n<p>The president would try to get back to the scripted part of his speech, when the still-laughing audience forced him to stop and crack another smile.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I didn&rsquo;t think it was that big a deal,&rdquo; Trump said, to even more laughter.<\/p>\n<p>Now, it is worth pointing out that representatives for both Schiff and Padilla told <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/administration\/5236006-trump-dodgers-white-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hill<\/a> that neither man was actually in attendance at the time of the quip. That does de-fang some of the venom of having an entire room full of uproarious laughter.<\/p>\n<p>But it&rsquo;s still got to sting hearing that from the guy who America overwhelmingly elected to be president.<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned earlier, however, both Padilla and Schiff kind of deserve it.
