The man was essentially dragged through a street to face what has to be the terrifying sight of the execution squad sent to find him. He was then <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ShemaNews\/status\/1907101429417832730\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">forced to kneel<\/a> facing a wall, awaiting the fatal bullets.)<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s a powerful demonstration of an often-overlooked point.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to its nominal position of leading Gaza, and the Israeli military&rsquo;s ongoing efforts to exterminate it, Hamas has dominated international headlines since launching its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/graphic-video-israeli-rescuer-releases-footage-music-festival-massacre-aftermath-counter-unprecedented-denial-campaign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">depraved attack on Israel<\/a> in October 2023.<\/p>\n<p>But according to the Times of Israel, it&rsquo;s far from the only armed organization in the Palestinian territory.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Gaza has dozens of powerful families like the Abu Samra family, who function as well-organized clans,&rdquo; The Times of Israel reported.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Many do not have formal links to Hamas. They derive their power from controlling businesses and command the loyalty of hundreds or thousands of relatives. Each family has a leader, known as a mukhtar, or chieftain.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>If that sounds more like a world of organized crime than a functioning civil society, it&rsquo;s a good illustration of the difference between Israel and its terrorist enemies.<\/p>\n<p>The Jewish state has been a functioning, respectable member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/world-economic-forum-suspends-invitation-to-president-trump-from-future-conferences-opens-this-years-globalist-fest-with-chinese-leader-xi-jinping\/\" title=\"World Economic Forum Suspends Invitation to President Trump from Future Conferences \u2013 Opens This Year\u2019s Globalist Fest with Chinese Leader Xi Jinping\">international community<\/a> since its founding in 1948 &mdash; the only credible democracy in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>Its enemies, by contrast, are Islamo-fascist dictatorships like Iran, &ldquo;kingdoms&rdquo; controlled by glorified tribal chieftains with modern armaments, like Saudia Arabia and Jordan, or, as in the Palestinian-run territories, essentially gangsters fighting over turf. If the American Mafia were as badly run and bloodthirsty, there would never have been a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reviewjournal.com\/local\/local-las-vegas\/the-mafias-history-in-las-vegas-from-bugsy-siegel-to-anthony-spilotro-413833\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Las Vegas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>(That&rsquo;s the side too many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/revealed-pro-hamas-billionaires-funding-pro-gaza-campus-rioters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">brainwashed college students<\/a> are taking on <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">supposedly elite college campuses &#038;mdash<\/a>; not to mention the American <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dems-just-broke-sick-record-comes-hating-israel-jewish-democrats-must-wake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Democratic Party<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>Considering this very public defiance of Hamas came only a day after Gaza witnessed <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/israel-palestinians-hamas-war-protest-public-opinion-c81e9684f14d5d00b23b13a3d337389b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rare, public demonstrations<\/a> against the terrorists&rsquo; rule (and the misery it&rsquo;s inflicted on the Palestinian people), it&rsquo;s tempting to see the reprisal killing as some kind of proof that average Palestinians are ready to see the end of their overlords &mdash; and possibly ready for peace with Israel.<\/p>\n<p>But the images the world has seen when Hamas has turned over some of the hostages taken on Oct. 7, 2023, have not been reassuring.
