the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Potentially protracted&rdquo; likely alludes to the litany of alleged transgressions that Biden is accused of, which would undoubtedly be discussed or unsealed as part of this hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Biden &mdash; again, who has been fully pardoned on federal offenses &mdash; was previously convicted on a pair of charges, one <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">involving federal tax evasion<\/a> and the other involving gun possession.<\/p>\n<p>The gun charge conviction came in June 2024.<\/p>\n<p>A few months later in September, Biden pleaded guilty to tax evasion as well.<\/p>\n<p>He was ultimately pardoned by his then-president father in December.<\/p>\n<p>Those two convictions, despite the pardon, prompted a potential hearing to be set up to discuss whether or not Biden&rsquo;s law license should be revoked.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/news\/hunter-biden-frees-up-more-time-to-paint-as-he-agrees-to-give-up-d-c-law-license-over-convictions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mediaite<\/a> puts it, Biden &ldquo;could have faced disbarment anyway&rdquo;
