Rasner promised that should his deal go through, the app would remain free to use, and he would also remove any censorship policies for using the app.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kevin O&rsquo;Leary<\/h2>\n<p>The <em>Shark Tank<\/em> co-host, also known as Mr. Wonderful, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/business\/2913781\/shark-tank-host-offers-buy-tiktok-make-it-american\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">has expressed interest in purchasing TikTok since last year<\/a>, and also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/business\/3278317\/kevin-oleary-met-trump-his-plans-buy-tiktok\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">met with Trump at the start of this year<\/a> over his interest in the platform. O&rsquo;Leary stated in January that his bid for TikTok is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/technology\/3289628\/kevin-oleary-buy-tiktok-bid-save-us-businesses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">being done to &ldquo;save American businesses,&rdquo;<\/a> citing how beneficial the social media platform is to small businesses and job creation.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Frank McCourt<\/h2>\n<p>Another billionaire who is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/phoebeliu\/2025\/01\/10\/who-is-frank-mccourt-the-billionaire-trying-to-buy-tiktok\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">interested in purchasing the social media platform is Frank McCourt<\/a>, the executive chairman of McCourt Global. At one point, McCourt and O&rsquo;Leary were competing to purchase TikTok, though they have since &ldquo;got together&rdquo; to discuss the matter.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Perplexity AI<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">artificial intelligence company<\/a>, seeking to rival fellow AI companies like OpenAI, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/01\/18\/perplexity-ai-makes-a-bid-to-merge-with-tiktok-us.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">submitted its own offer to ByteDance to purchase TikTok<\/a> back in January.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Oracle<\/h2>\n<p>Software company Oracle has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2025\/03\/16\/white-house-oracle-tiktok-00232302\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">also sought to make its own deal to buy TikTok<\/a>, which would require the U.S. government to rely on Oracle to oversee that data of TikTok users within the U.S.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3367418\/alec-baldwin-warns-pre-civil-war-culture-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">ALEC BALDWIN WARNS OF &lsquo;PRE-CIVIL WAR CULTURE&rsquo; IN US<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MrBeast<\/h2>\n<p>Jimmy Donaldson, known for his online moniker MrBeast, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bnnbloomberg.ca\/business\/company-news\/2025\/01\/29\/tiktok-bidders-to-offer-significantly-more-than-20-billion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">was part of a group of investors that pitched their own bid for TikTok<\/a>, with Donaldson also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@mrbeast\/video\/7462060610524630318?is_from_webapp=1&amp;sender_device=pc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">uploading a video on TikTok<\/a> in which he expressed enthusiasm for potentially becoming the video platform&rsquo;s new CEO. Donaldson&rsquo;s channel on YouTube is the most-subscribed channel on the platform, where he boasts over 381 million followers.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the Saturday deadline, Trump hinted that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3360752\/trump-reduction-chinese-tariffs-tiktok-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">he could reduce tariffs against China<\/a> in a bid to help achieve a divestment deal with TikTok.
