WISN, an ABC affiliate in Wisconsin, reported that it was elevated in 2016 to a permanent implementation. Tuesday&rsquo;s election made it part of Wisconsin&rsquo;s constitution, which meant that the law could no <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">longer face legal challenges<\/a> in the future. It also makes it difficult for a future Democrat-controlled legislature to potentially change the law. Tuesday&rsquo;s proposal was suggested and placed on the ballot by Wisconsin&rsquo;s Republican-controlled legislature as a measure to strengthen the state&rsquo;s election security.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The voter ID amendment was the sole Republican victory in the state&rsquo;s election on Tuesday after conservative Wisconsin Supreme Court nominee Brad Schimel <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/3367110\/liberal-susan-crawford-wins-wisconsin-supreme-court-race\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lost<\/a> to liberal justice Susan Crawford, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3367257\/wisconsin-gop-future-voter-id-amendment-after-election\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">55% to 45%<\/a>, according to the latest results.
