The media CEO claimed that President Donald Trump himself saw the offer before TikTok received it. And for the first time ever we are going to monetize that data and profit share it back to the user so you will be paid just having the app on your phone.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 100%; max-width: 640px; max-height: 360px; min-width: 320px; min-height: 180px; overflow: hidden;\">\n<div style=\"position: relative; width: 100%; padding-top: 56.25%;\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/share.grabien.com\/share.php?id=2870144&amp;userid=11311&amp;loginid=10455&amp;playercolor=%23000000&amp;playersize=auto&amp;code=4b8b4312f2c3429701b8f28714aab850\" style=\"position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 100%; height: 100%; border: 0px;\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Rasner promised that should his deal go through, the app would remain free to use, and he would remove any censorship policies for using the app. Stringent&nbsp;rules&nbsp;on TikTok prevent users from using a long list of words that are considered hate speech or promoting drug use or self-harm to the point that TikTok will stop a live stream on its platform if certain words are used.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> reached out to TikTok for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has continued to pressure ByteDance to agree to a deal when he made the suggestion last week that he would offer &ldquo;a little reduction in tariffs or something to get it done.&rdquo; China&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/national-security\/3308064\/china-filing-lawsuit-us-world-trade-organization-tariffs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">filed a lawsuit<\/a>&nbsp;against the United States with the World Trade Organization over recently imposed&nbsp;tariffs set to start Wednesday and issued its own&nbsp;reciprocal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3309754\/china-retaliates-tariffs-against-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">10% tariff<\/a>&nbsp;on U.S. goods.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3360752\/trump-reduction-chinese-tariffs-tiktok-deal\/\"><strong>TRUMP TEASES REDUCTION IN CHINESE TARIFFS AS PART OF TIKTOK DEAL<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>TikTok&nbsp;hadn&rsquo;t pursued divestiture when then-President Joe Biden signed the ban into law, and it opted to challenge the ban legally.
