Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), highlighting a meaningful shift from her initial campaign reliant on small-dollar donations to receiving considerable contributions from corporations, unions, and foreign governments. Initially, during her 2019 campaign for state office, Crockett relied primarily on local supporters. However, she attracted attention from more prominent donors as her career progressed, notably during her 2022 election campaign, where super PACs associated with cryptocurrency leaders contributed millions to her cause.

Crockett has since continued to accept funding from corporate PACs representing major industries, including pharmaceuticals, financial services, and defense, accumulating over $370,000 in such contributions since 2022. This is despite her earlier rhetoric criticizing corporate greed. Moreover, her financial disclosures reveal that foreign entities, such as the Indian government and the Qatari nonprofit linked to their government, funded her trips abroad, raising concerns about potential conflicts of interest.

Notably, Crockett’s controversial comments and policies have made her a prominent figure within the Democratic Party, and her actions often attract media attention. As Crockett increased in prominence, however, cryptocurrency moguls, corporations, union bosses, and even foreign governments have lined up to shower her with resources.

Crockett, who got her start practicing law, ran to represent a portion of Austin in the Texas House of Representatives in 2020. Crockett’s biggest financial windfall came during the 2022 election season when super PACs linked to cryptocurrency industry leaders like the since-disgraced Sam Bankman-fried pumped millions into supporting her bid to replace retiring Democratic Rep. Most recently, she has caught criticism for referring to Gov.
