For Doing The Same Thing The Obama Administration Did\">national security breach<\/a> that put lives at risk?<\/p>\n<p>Or was it more of a disastrous public relations blunder that&rsquo;s being overblown for clicks and views?<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-responds-critical-security-breach-jd-vance-reportedly-concerns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">highly criticized text chain snafu<\/a><\/a> that has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-irreversible-consequences-of-school-closures\/\" title=\"The Irreversible Consequences of School Closures\">captured national attention<\/a> this week, the White House firmly believes it&rsquo;s the latter &mdash; even as more information comes to light regarding the incident.<\/p>\n<p>To wit, on Monday, The Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/politics\/archive\/2025\/03\/trump-administration-accidentally-texted-me-its-war-plans\/682151\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a piece<\/a> straightforwardly titled, &ldquo;The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In it, Goldberg made the explosive claims that his private phone number was somehow added to a private chat in the Signal messaging app discussing possible military strikes against Houthis in Yemen, that included top Trump cabinet members, such as Secretary of Defense <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fact-check-pete-hegseth-remove-colin-powell-every-person-color-arlington-national-cemetery-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pete Hegseth<\/a>, Vice President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-responds-critical-security-breach-jd-vance-reportedly-concerns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">J.D. (Trump confirmed that an unknown staffer of Waltz accidentally added Goldberg.)<\/p>\n<p>Both Leavitt and Trump took shots at Goldberg&rsquo;s integrity (&ldquo;Jeffrey Goldberg is well-known for his sensationalist spin&rdquo;) during their respective responses &mdash; perhaps prompting the editor to feel compelled to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/politics\/archive\/2025\/03\/signal-group-chat-attack-plans-hegseth-goldberg\/682176\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">release the entire chat<\/a> he was privy to.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;As a general rule, we do not publish information about military operations if that information could possibly jeopardize the lives of U.S. personnel,&rdquo; this new Atlantic piece claimed. &ldquo;That is why we chose to characterize the nature of the information being d, not specific details about the attacks.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>But since Trump and his team have insisted that no classified information was in those texts, Goldberg felt compelled to release the information, seemingly to prove some sort of point.<\/p>\n<p>Only, the White House isn&rsquo;t standing for it.<\/p>\n<p>Various top White House representatives, including Leavitt, Waltz, and Vance, all responded to this latest Atlantic &ldquo;bombshell&rdquo; with a mixture of derision, mockery and annoyance.<\/p>\n<p>Leavitt pointed out the immediate discrepancy with The Atlantic&rsquo;s narrative, ping-ponging from &ldquo;war plans&rdquo; to &ldquo;attack plans.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The Atlantic has conceded: these were NOT &ldquo;war plans.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>This entire story was another hoax written by a Trump-hater who is well-known for his sensationalist spin. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/atGrDd2ymr\">pic.twitter.com\/atGrDd2ymr<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Karoline Leavitt (@PressSec) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PressSec\/status\/1904875629612331123?\">March 26, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Waltz hammered home what&nbsp;<em>wasn&rsquo;t <\/em>in those text messages.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">No locations.<\/p>\n<p>No sources &amp; methods.<\/p>\n<p>NO WAR PLANS.<\/p>\n<p>Foreign partners had already been notified that strikes were imminent.<\/p>\n<p>BOTTOM LINE: President Trump is protecting America and our interests.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Mike Waltz (@MikeWaltz47) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MikeWaltz47\/status\/1904888948628877756?\">March 26, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Vance &mdash; whom The Atlantic revealed said &ldquo;a prayer for victory&rdquo; in the text chain &mdash; also chimed in.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">It&rsquo;s very clear Goldberg oversold what he had.
