Notably, it has withdrawn its sponsorship of the St. Louis Pride festival, which has caused significant distress for the organizers, as they are now facing a shortfall of over $150,000 compared to the previous year. For 30 years, Anheuser-Busch had been a consistent supporter of Pride St. Louis, donating approximately $70,000 annually. Considering this withdrawal, the festival is mobilizing a fundraising campaign to compensate for lost funds.

The decision comes amid a broader trend of declining corporate support for Pride events across the U.S., with various organizations reporting substantial drops in donations. The brewing giant’s troubles began with a partnership involving transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, resulting in a boycott that devastated Bud Light’s sales. A former executive noted that the company has not recovered from these events and continues to lose customers as it struggles to define its brand’s direction. Presently, Anheuser-busch has not issued comments regarding its decision to withdraw sponsorship.

Two years after its Bud Light debacle cost Anheuser-Busch millions of customers and dollars, the brewing giant has taken a major step away from showing its LGBT colors.

Anheuser-Busch has dropped its support of the St. Louis Pride festival, according to KSDK-TV.

Pride St. Louis called the change “especially painful.”

Currently, the June festival has fallen short by more than $150,000 compared to what it raised in 2024.
