Archer, who was involved with Hunter Biden on the board of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, became a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">central figure<\/a> during Trump&#8217;s first impeachment trial.The White House stated that the prosecution of Archer shifted significantly once he began cooperating with congressional investigators against the Biden family, which they characterized as unjust. Archer had originally been convicted in 2018 for defrauding a Native American tribe, but his conviction faced various legal challenges before being reinstated.
