In a press release, a spokesperson for the company said the plan aims to advance domestic energy and mineral independence by increasing the supply of vehicle batteries.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson &amp; Johnson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/infrastructure\/3355228\/johnson-johnson-billions-us-investments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">announced<\/a> a $55 billion investment over four years to build manufacturing facilities in the U.S. The investment represents a 25% increase over the previous four years and will contribute more than $100 billion annually to the U.S. economy, according to the company.<\/p>\n<p>Apple reaffirmed its commitment to invest $500 billion in the U.S. over the next five years. A spokesperson said the company intends to hire 20,000 new workers and produce artificial intelligence servers. It plans to open a server factory in Houston in 2026 and a manufacturing academy in Detroit. It will also expand investment in data centers in Arizona, California, Iowa, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, and Washington.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/apple\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Apple<\/a> also<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/business\/3327870\/apple-announces-500-billion-investment-after-trump-meeting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"> confirmed<\/a> that the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company facility in Arizona, which began development under former President Joe Biden&rsquo;s administration, began producing chips for Apple.<\/p>\n<p>Trump<a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/114059004456970017\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"> looked<\/a> to take credit for the latest announcement by implying in a social media statement that his tariff threats were Apple&rsquo;s tipping point in making the announcement.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Trump<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3335005\/trump-tout-100-billion-investment-taiwan-chipmaker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"> announced<\/a> that TSMC, the world&rsquo;s largest chipmaker, will invest more than $100 billion in building chipmaking facilities in addition to the one operating in Phoenix.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration previously granted TSMC a $6.6 billion government subsidy for semiconductor production, and last year, TSMC announced its plan to increase that investment to $65 billion.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear if the $100 billion is made up partly of the $65 billion or if it is an entirely separate investment.<\/p>\n<p>Nvidia also plans to invest hundreds of billions of dollars in American-made chips and electronics over the next four years.
