He is also believed to be the first sitting president to ever attend the collegiate wrestling finals. Dave McCormick (R-PA), a former collegiate wrestler at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, will be joining the president at the event, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/politics\/trump-wrestling-ncaa-wells-fargo-center-20250318.html\">reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Trump&rsquo;s visit will be his first to Pennsylvania since he started his second term in January after winning the state in the 2024 presidential election. Traditionally a state that has voted for the Democratic nominee for president, Trump also won the state in 2016, the first Republican candidate to win Pennsylvania in a presidential election since then-Vice President George H.W. Bush did so in 1988.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/state\/3351587\/arizona-supreme-court-ai-news-reporters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ARIZONA SUPREME COURT TO USE AI NEWS REPORTERS TO EXPLAIN RULINGS<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trump appears to be a strong supporter of NCAA wrestling. It is the second time he has attended the championships since 2023, the <em>Philadelphia Inquirer<\/em> reported.
