is at the &lsquo;heart of hockey&rsquo; during Pride Night<\/h1>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"tdb-title-line\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<div id=\"Brid_2038156\" class=\"tpd-featured-video bridtv\"><\/div>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/pittsburgh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a> declared that &ldquo;Respect and inclusion are at the heart of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/hockey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">hockey<\/a>&rdquo; Crosby said.<\/p>\n<p>The NHL&rsquo;s ban on Pride tape was lifted in 2023 after Arizona Coyotes&nbsp;defenseman&nbsp;Travis Dermott defied the ban and after meetings with the NHL Players&rsquo; Association and the NHL Player Inclusion Coalition.<\/p>\n<p>While the Penguins celebrated Pride Night on the ice with a 5-3 victory over the Blues, many fans on social media criticized the team&rsquo;s actions.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;For years sports of every kind was not political The NHL has now become political,&rdquo;
