Anthony Pro-Life America, Family Research Council, Students For Life Action, The Thomas More Society, and more advocates against ending life in the womb joined Americans Advancing Freedom to demand an immediate end to the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/28\/the-face-act-is-unconstitutional-its-past-time-congress-got-rid-of-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The signees expressed optimism about President Donald Trump&rsquo;s &ldquo;decisive action&rdquo; to pardon dozens of pro-lifers who were victims of the Biden regime&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/24\/christopher-wray-says-fbi-does-not-target-peaceful-pro-lifers-the-stats-prove-otherwise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lopsided lawfare<\/a>, but noted that it&rsquo;s not enough to prevent weaponization from happening again. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Thankfully, in addition to pardoning the pro-life prisoners, the Trump Administration has taken extensive executive action to prevent the FACE Act from being weaponized against either pro-life or pro-abortion activists for the remainder of his term. For this we are grateful,&rdquo; the letter states. &ldquo;However, to prevent any future pro-abortion administrations from weaponizing the FACE Act against pro-life Americans, Congress must repeal the FACE Act in its entirety.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Until the FACE Act is repealed, the letter warns, pro-lifers&rsquo; &ldquo;efforts to protect the most vulnerable in our society: unborn human beings&rdquo; are vulnerable to the same &ldquo;unjust targeting&rdquo; demonstrated by the previous administration which included &ldquo;early morning SWAT team raids, unjust prison sentences, and alleged mistreatment while in custody.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Congress passed the FACE Act in 1994, but it was under President Joe Biden that the FBI and Department of Justice began arresting and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/14\/peaceful-pro-lifer-gets-years-in-prison-after-biden-doj-targeted-her-under-face-act\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sentencing<\/a> dozens of law-abiding Americans for peacefully protesting abortion. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Since its creation, 97 percent of all FACE Act cases have been brought against pro-life Americans,&rdquo; the letter notes.<\/p>\n<p>Under the Biden regime, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/24\/christopher-wray-says-fbi-does-not-target-peaceful-pro-lifers-the-stats-prove-otherwise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">55<\/a>&nbsp;of the 60 FACE Act<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>cases zeroed in on Americans who<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/19\/yes-bidens-department-of-justice-wants-to-imprison-peaceful-pro-lifers-for-praying\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;prayed, sang, and evangelized<\/a>&nbsp;at abortion facilities.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;In fact, the first time FACE Act charges were ever brought against a pro-abortion activist was only after Republicans took control of the House of Representatives and opened investigations into the Biden Administration&rsquo;s political abuses of this unjust law,&rdquo; the letter states. <\/p>\n<p>Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas and 25 Republican cosponsors&nbsp;already <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/01\/21\/republicans-led-by-chip-roy-move-to-repeal-the-act-biden-used-to-jail-peaceful-pro-lifers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">introduced<\/a> the legislation necessary to abolish the FACE Act.
