Kathy Hochul stops protecting illegal immigrants.<\/p>\n<p>Homan, a native of northern New York state, journeyed to Albany on Wednesday to rally Republican lawmakers who make up a minority in New York&rsquo;s legislature and to vow to Hochul that she cannot make New York immune from the reach of federal law.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;New York state, you gotta change your sanctuary status. If you don&rsquo;t, get out the way, because we&rsquo;re going to do our job,&rdquo; Homan said, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northcountrypublicradio.org\/news\/story\/51411\/20250313\/border-czar-tom-homan-lambasts-ny-democrats-over-immigration-policies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Country Public Radio<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Sanctuary cities are going to get exactly what they don&rsquo;t want: more agents in the community,&rdquo; he said, referring to Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, according to the<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/03\/12\/us-news\/tom-homan-says-ice-agents-will-flood-ny-if-hochul-doesnt-cooperate-on-federal-immigration-crackdown\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> New York Post<\/a>. &ldquo;We&rsquo;ll double the man-force if we have to. Hate on me because I eat it up.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Homan said he has not tried to meet with Hochul, a vocal critic of the Trump administration.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;She hasn&rsquo;t communicated with me (either),&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;Let&rsquo;s be clear: I&rsquo;m doing nothing wrong, she is.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Homan&rsquo;s visit triggered Democratic lawmakers to protest the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/green-card-holding-palestinian-trumps-deporting-gets-even-worse-news-justice-finds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Palestinian activist<\/a> who led sometimes violent anti-Semitic protests at Columbia University.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Tom Homan calmly eats an apple as the left screams at him.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Zslzd0kjeG\">pic.twitter.com\/Zslzd0kjeG<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; The Post Millennial (@TPostMillennial) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TPostMillennial\/status\/1899890505787314340?\">March 12, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/homan-ends-live-interview-letting-mayor-know-whatll-happen-ice-betrayed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Homan<\/a> said he did not know all the details of the charges against Khalil but called him &ldquo;a national security threat&rdquo; whose actions were &ldquo;contrary to United States foreign policy.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I keep hearing &lsquo;freedom of speech, freedom of speech, freedom of speech,&rsquo;&rdquo; Homan said. &ldquo;Can you stand in a movie theater and yell &lsquo;fire&rsquo;?&hellip; Free speech has limitations.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Come into this country, either on a visa or (by) becoming a resident alien, is a great privilege, but there are rules associated with that.
