As you&rsquo;re no doubt aware if you spend any time in that corner of the universe &mdash; or have paid attention to politics anytime in the past couple of decades &mdash; the Democratic logos have been a red-and-blue donkey (the mammalian representative of the party bequeathed upon them by cartoonist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/devastating-letter-surfaces-huge-number-dem-senators-flip-flopped-filibuster-since-trump-era\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thomas Nast<\/a> in the 1800s), with four stars inside the blue upper half, and a blue D inside a blue circle on a white background.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, they felt the need to consolidate. So, the new profile pic just dropped, and &hellip; well, this is apparently what they thought people wanted in a rebrand:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"qme\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NewProfilePic?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NewProfilePic<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/nFrBneER2X\">pic.twitter.com\/nFrBneER2X<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Democrats (@TheDemocrats) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheDemocrats\/status\/1899853640761774477?\">March 12, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p> <script type=\"text\/javascript\"> \t\t\tif ( getCookie( \"ff_subbed\" ) ) { \t\t\t\tdocument.getElementById(\"stnvideo\").remove() \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>A flatfooted, oversimplified representation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/man-boasts-plan-knock-donkey-pepper-turns-tables\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">of an animal<\/a> whose name can also be used as a vulgarism for the posterior, only with fewer stars than before. It&rsquo;s actually quite perfect, if you ask me, all without being any good.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/logos.fandom.com\/wiki\/Saul_Bass\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Saul Bass<\/a>-level design it was not, however, leading to plenty of scorn and virtually no praise in the comments section.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, some noted the loss of the star in the new donkey vs. the old one.
