Kennedy in 1963.<\/p>\n<p>The segment is below:<\/p>\n<p> <script type=\"text\/javascript\"> \t\t\tif ( getCookie( \"ff_subbed\" ) ) { \t\t\t\tdocument.getElementById(\"stnvideo\").remove() \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\"> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oZTmlsfH0JA?si=X1ZOdnmW02zLkkZp&amp;start=2577\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>&ldquo;In January there was a scramble over who&rsquo;s gonna get what jobs in the new administration,&rdquo; Carlson said, about the 44-minute mark in the video above.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;At one point there was someone who was being discussed for a job in the intel world, and a member of the SSCI, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and Intel Committee, went to the people making the decision and said, &lsquo;You cannot hire this person because this person will be certain to push for the release of the JFK files,&rsquo;&rdquo; Carlson said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;So this is in &mdash; this is fact &mdash; this is in 2025, less than two months ago, and you have a sitting member of the United States Senate whose main goal is to keep those files secret. Then you have to ask yourself, &lsquo;Why?&#8217;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Carlson noted how much time has passed and how much information has come to light about covert activities since Kennedy was killed.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;If you&rsquo;re telling me that six weeks ago, a member of the United States Senate was trying to keep someone out of a job in order to keep these files secret, that is to protect the CIA, I don&rsquo;t believe that for a second.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Carlson then asserted there continues to be a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">high-level conspiracy surrounding<\/a> the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/lawmaker-drops-jfk-bombshell-no-single-shooter-two-shooters-killed-kennedy-based-seen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kennedy assassination<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When Cuomo later pressed Carlson for the identity of that senator, Carlson barely hesitated:<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Tom Cotton of Arkansas did that,&rdquo; he said, about the 50:19 mark.<\/p>\n<p>Cuomo then pressed Carlson on whether he&rsquo;d asked Cotton about it personally.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I didn&rsquo;t sit down with him,&rdquo; Carlson said, about the 50:40 mark. &ldquo;I&rsquo;m not sure he will do an interview with me.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TomCottonAR\/status\/1899406851160117595\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-new-acting-attorney-general-jeff-rosen-recently-wrote-an-essay-on-foreign-influence-in-us-elections-this-tells-us-a-little-about-his-knowledge-of-whats-going-on-today\/\" title=\"The New Acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen Recently Wrote an Essay on Foreign Influence in US Elections \u2013 This Tells Us A Little About His Knowledge of What\u2019s Going On Today\">social media platform<\/a> X<\/a> published early Tuesday morning, Cotton shot back an unqualified denial.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is false. I have no problem releasing the &lsquo;JFK files,&#8217;&rdquo; Cotton wrote. &ldquo;Had @tuckercarlson asked me, I would&rsquo;ve told him.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I would&rsquo;ve explained that I&rsquo;ve never spoken to President Trump or his associates or administration officials about the files, never objected to the appointment of any person because of the files, and have complete faith that Tulsi Gabbard, John Ratcliffe, Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, and other officials will release the files as appropriate in accordance with President Trump&rsquo;s directive.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>There&rsquo;s no question that Carlson is an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-tucker-carlson-uncovered-devastating-faa-s-2018-proved-obama-team-knew-playing-fire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">effective journalist<\/a>. There&rsquo;s no question that Cotton has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/tom-cotton-fights-parents-declares-war-schools-hiding-students-gender-transitions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">championed conservative causes<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-tucker-carlson-uncovered-devastating-faa-s-2018-proved-obama-team-knew-playing-fire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">was an effective<\/a> a scourge of the White House during the Joe Biden presidency.<\/p>\n<p>And there&rsquo;s no question that both men are popular among conservatives. There also appears to be no question that the men are flatly contradicting each other.<\/p>\n<p>One or the other is telling the truth.
