This defeat was noted by Trump in his social media post, where he even taunted them over their lack of political success against him in the 2024 presidential election.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They tried to do it to me at the 2024 Presidential Ballot Box, but how did that work out?&rdquo; Trump said.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The president then announced that he would purchase a Tesla tomorrow as a sign of support for Musk. He called the inventor, engineer, philanthropist, and billionaire a &ldquo;great American&rdquo; and said he shouldn&rsquo;t be punished for supporting him.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;In any event, I&rsquo;m going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American. The stock dropped more than 15% in the last 24 hours, 32% in the last month, and over 41% year-to-date. The most recent fluctuations coincided with Musk&rsquo;s interview on Fox News on Monday, in which he described his efforts to eliminate government waste and halt reckless spending.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, despite the recent stock price decrease and the string of attacks against him, Musk doesn&rsquo;t appear too worried.
