During his confirmation \u2063hearing, Curran faced tough questions regarding the Secret \u200bService&#8217;s performance before\u2064 and during \u200cthe Butler \u2063incident, which has prompted notable \u2063reforms within the agency. That event led to significant reforms within the agency, and Curran has stated continued improvements to the Secret Service as a core pillar of his mission as director.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3340657\/white-house-downplays-short-term-economic-disruptions-jobs-report\/\"><strong>WHITE HOUSE DOWNPLAYS SHORT-TERM ECONOMIC DISRUPTIONS AFTER JOBS REPORT<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I brought in an outside expert from the intelligence community to take a look at our intelligence apparatus,&rdquo; he told lawmakers at the time. &ldquo;I feel that strongly about what we are doing and where I want to take our intelligence divisions to &mdash; and that&rsquo;s why I brought a true pro from the intelligence community to take a look at that and advise me on how we can do things differently and build more relationships with the ICE community. It&rsquo;s that important.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Curran also made an appearance at Trump&rsquo;s address to a joint session of Congress last Tuesday night. At the time, Curran made D.J.
