The review found\u2063 that nearly 5,600 loans, totaling $312 million, were granted to individuals who were \u206311 years old or younger at the time of the applications.Additionally, there were loans \u200dapproved for\u2062 borrowers listed as over\u2063 115 years old,\u2062 with one case involving a 157-year-old recipient who received $36,000. DOGE wrote in a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/doge\/status\/1898587143796338826\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p> <script type=\"text\/javascript\"> \t\t\tif ( getCookie( \"ff_subbed\" ) ) { \t\t\t\tdocument.getElementById(\"stnvideo\").remove() \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>The statement said DOGE and the SBA &ldquo;are working together to solve this problem this week.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>During those <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DOGE\/status\/1897039724822315489\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">same two years<\/a>, the SBA approved 3,095 loans to borrowers who were listed on the paperwork for the loans as over 115 years old.<\/p>\n<p>This group of loans totals $333 million.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/screaming-doge-media-conveniently-forgets-anti-trump-irs-worker-leaked-400000-tax-records\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DOGE<\/a> said the loan recipients were recorded in the Social Security database as still living.<\/p>\n<p>In one case, loans went to someone who was identified as being 157 years old, who received loans worth $36,000.<\/p>\n<p>The loans included support from the Paycheck Protection Program and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program.<\/p>\n<p>News of the suspicious payouts came shortly after DOGE leader Elon Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/social-security-fraud-nearly-1-5-million-americans-listed-150-years-old-1041-220-years-old\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revealed<\/a> that there are substantial numbers of very elderly people still listed in the Social Security databases.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, the&nbsp;database&nbsp;included over 1.3 million people between the ages of 150 and 159, nearly 122,000 between the ages of 160 and 169, and over 6,000 between the ages of 170 and 179.<\/p>\n<p>Fraud under the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/big-businesses-abused-paycheck-protection-program-get-ready-audit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PPP<\/a> continues to result in court cases.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, Marc Andrew Martin, 46, of Detroit, pleaded guilty to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/founder-of-we-build-the-wall-campaign-to-plead-guilty-to-defrauding-trump-supporters\/\" title=\"Founder of \u201cWe Build the Wall\u201d Campaign to Plead Guilty to Defrauding Trump Supporters\">fraud conspiracy charge<\/a> in a $14 million Paycheck Protection Plan loan scheme, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clickondetroit.com\/news\/local\/2025\/03\/08\/detroit-man-pleads-guilty-to-conspiring-in-14m-ppp-loan-fraud-scheme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WDIV-TV<\/a>&nbsp;in Detroit.<\/p>\n<p>Between March 2020 and August 2021, Martin recruited small businesses and falsified loan applications.
