Polymarket, which allows users to bet on the odds of <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">real-life events<\/a> and provides related odds, called the raid &ldquo;political retribution&rdquo; from the Biden administration after the platform correctly predicted that Trump would win the election. Additionally, the company has <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Polymarket\/status\/1897676785006899547\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">touted <\/a>the purported $105 billion Elon Musk&rsquo;s Department of Government Efficiency has saved taxpayers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/03\/03\/us\/politics\/doge-musk-contracts-wall.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">likely <\/a>a considerable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/investigations\/3323628\/has-doge-really-saved-55-billion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">overestimate<\/a>, and posted a joke chart <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Polymarket\/status\/1891526677630480715\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">suggesting <\/a>that Democratic lawyer Norm Eisen is &ldquo;corrupt.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The Bitcoin logo appears on the display screen of a cryptocurrency ATM at the Smoker&acirc;s Choice store, Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021, in Salem, New Hampshire. (AP Photo\/Charles Krupa) | (Charles Krupa\/AP)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>There&rsquo;s more than meets the eye for Polymarket and Coplan&rsquo;s neutral or right-of-center public posturing, however.<\/p>\n<p>In October 2024, a <em>Politico <\/em>reporter <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/dlippman\/status\/1849514268070134234\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">spotted <\/a>Coplan with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) at a campaign fundraiser for former Vice President Kamala Harris in New York City.&nbsp;Walz was then Harris&rsquo;s running mate.<\/p>\n<p>Federal Election Commission records <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/?data_type=processed&amp;contributor_employer=Polymarket&amp;max_date=12%2F31%2F2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">show <\/a>that Coplan donated roughly $100,000, split between Harris&rsquo;s campaign and the Democratic National Committee during the latter months of the 2024 election. Coplan was joined in his donations by his firm&rsquo;s chief marketing officer, Matthew Modabber, who also pushed about $100,000 to Harris and the DNC. The crypto executive duo sprinkled a couple thousand more dollars across various state Democratic parties and Equality PAC, a pro-LGBT committee.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Coplan did make one contribution to a Republican &mdash; $5,000 to Florida Gov.
