Toward the end of his breathless thankfulness, he snuck in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=yw34Meg6D58\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">anecdote<\/a> about a handshake deal he made with his wife and the mother of his two children, Jazz Charton, to expand their family if he won an Emmy.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1319843030\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&ldquo;About a year ago I was on a stage like this, and I very stupidly publicly said that I want a third kid from her, because she said if I won the award, she would give me the kid,&rdquo; Culkin said, as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dr-fauci-is-cringing-at-home-says-nba-finals-announcer-as-65000-fans-watch-outside-arena\/\" title=\"\u2018Dr. Fauci Is Cringing At Home,\u2019 Says NBA Finals Announcer As 65,000 Fans Watch Outside Arena\">camera panned<\/a> to a chuckling Charton. &ldquo;Turns out she said that because she didn&rsquo;t think I was going to win.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Culkin said it wasn&rsquo;t until after the January 2024 TV awards show ended that Charton realized, &ldquo;I guess I owe you a third kid.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I turned to her and I said, &lsquo;Really, I want four.&rsquo; And she turned to me, I swear to God this happened &hellip; she said, &lsquo;I will give you four when you win an Oscar,&rsquo;&rdquo; Culkin continued. &ldquo;I held my hand out, she shook it, and I have not brought it up once until just now. You remember that honey? You do?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The camera captured Charton once again laughing as she nodded her head. With the visual stamp of approval to continue, Culkin concluded his speech with a call to action.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Then, I just have this to say to you, Jazz. Love of my life, ye of little faith. No pressure. I love you. I&rsquo;m really sorry I did this again. And let&rsquo;s get cracking on those kids, what do you say? I love you!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Culkin&rsquo;s pro-natalist message likely came as a bit of a shock to a room filled with Hollywood people known for broken relationships, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glamour.com\/gallery\/celebrities-who-have-had-abortions-and-spoken-out-about-them\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">shouting their abortions<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/26\/big-fertility-harms-babies-and-women-so-why-are-we-celebrating-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">outsourcing reproduction<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glamour.com\/gallery\/hollywood-celebrities-on-being-child-free-by-choice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">giving up on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-best-interests-of-children-have-often-come-dead-last-watch-mcconnell-tear-into-teachers-unions\/\" title=\"\u2018The Best Interests Of ...ren Have Often Come Dead Last\u2019: Watch McConnell Tear Into Teachers\u2019 Unions\">kids altogether<\/a><\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>A 2024 <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BradWilcoxIFS\/status\/1799999427169407076\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pew survey<\/a> found that 59 percent of President Donald Trump voters think society would be &ldquo;better off if people make marriage and having children a priority,&rdquo; but only 19 percent of then-President Joe Biden voters, many of whom are found in the star-studded world, felt the same. <\/p>\n<p>Yet, Culkin&rsquo;s not wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the increasingly anti-child and family narratives that dominate blockbuster screens and American culture, there&rsquo;s no denying that getting hitched and raising children with your spouse is one of the most fulfilling things a person can do.<\/p>\n<p>On average, married couples with children tend to be happier than their peers. One 2022 survey found that wedded men and women with kids <a href=\"https:\/\/ifstudies.org\/blog\/who-is-happiest-married-mothers-and-fathers-per-the-latest-general-social-survey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&ldquo;are the most likely to report being &lsquo;very happy&rsquo; with their lives.&rdquo;<\/a> Married men like Culkin, specifically, &ldquo;are about twice as likely to be very happy, compared to their unmarried peers.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The nation&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/09\/babies-by-any-means-necessary-wont-fix-the-wests-fertility-woes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lagging replacement rate<\/a> suggests we need more babies. More than ever, though, we need more loving marriages and stable families to welcome those babies. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC6449311\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Data has shown<\/a> that the offspring of larger families tend to create large families themselves.
