To this day, he remembers the first time we met and how worried he was about me,&rdquo; she said.<\/p>\n<p>Shanahan recalled asking him if he knew anyone who could help keep &ldquo;bad energy&rdquo; away, such as &ldquo;an exorcism.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>He said he would help her when she was &ldquo;ready&rdquo; and later connected her with Diane Robinson, who helped conduct a baptism in Shanahan&rsquo;s pool alongside her husband, Peter, on Jan. 19, the eve of President Donald Trump&rsquo;s inauguration.<\/p>\n<p>She reflected on her experience as a child seeing her father addicted to alcohol and said he would &ldquo;fall into manic rages&rdquo; but she &ldquo;never seriously considered whether demons were real &mdash; until recently.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Honestly, my last year in politics changed that,&rdquo; the former vice presidential candidate wrote. &ldquo;Learning just how far some will go to inflict atrocities on innocent Americans has shocked me awake.
