margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1565574135\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Unlike his role as senior adviser to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/top-democrat-senator-urges-biden-to-reverse-on-keystone-pipeline-14-ags-threaten-legal-action\/\" title=\"Top Democrat Senator Urges Biden To Reverse On Keystone Pipeline, 14 AGs Threaten Legal Action\">chief legal officer<\/a>, which was&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/U1pp8#selection-2603.59-2603.96\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported last week<\/a>, Clark&rsquo;s OIRA position will require confirmation by the Senate. His <a href=\"https:\/\/fedsoc.org\/contributors\/jeffrey-clark\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">extensive <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/archives\/enrd\/staff-profile\/former-assistant-attorney-general-jeffrey-bossert-clark\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">experience<\/a> as an appellate litigator and administrative law expert for an international law firm as well as his 2012 to 2015 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/archives\/enrd\/staff-profile\/former-assistant-attorney-general-jeffrey-bossert-clark\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stint<\/a> as an elected member of the Governing Council of the American Bar Association&rsquo;s Administrative Law Section, however, could prove to any skeptical senators that he&rsquo;s equipped to take on the regulatory fights that await him.<\/p>\n<p>The OIRA appointment is a victory for Clark, who spent the last three years fighting an uphill battle against Democrats&rsquo; expansive and ongoing lawfare schemes for his role in the first Trump administration&rsquo;s Department of Justice.<\/p>\n<p>Clark, who served between 2018 and 2021 as assistant attorney general for the Environment and Natural Resources Division and was named acting head of the Civil Division in 2020, specifically came under fire for&nbsp;drafting&nbsp;a letter to Georgia officials noting the Justice Department &ldquo;identified significant concerns that may have impacted the outcome of the [2020] election in multiple States, including the State of Georgia.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>As Federalist Legal Correspondent Margot Cleveland noted in her coverage of the letter, &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/09\/25\/judge-in-fulton-county-trump-case-reveals-how-dangerous-this-prosecution-is-to-our-country\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">drafting a legal opinion letter is not a crime<\/a>.&rdquo; Even if it was, the DOJ official did not ultimately send the letter.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, Clark was still charged by the Washington, D.C. Bar&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/22111902-jeffrey-clark-specification-of-charges-from-dc-bar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in July 2022<\/a> with &ldquo;attempted &hellip; conduct involving dishonesty&rdquo; and &ldquo;attempted &hellip; conduct that would seriously interfere with the administration of justice.&rdquo; He was also named as one of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/11\/01\/jeffrey-clarks-lawyers-demand-fani-willis-grotesque-abuse-of-prosecutorial-power-be-dismissed-over-lack-of-personal-jurisdiction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">19 &ldquo;co-conspirator&rdquo; targets<\/a>&nbsp;in Democrats&rsquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">wide-ranging election indictment<\/a> in Georgia and even had his house <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oQaPLkKgYZY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">raided by the FBI.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As The Federalist has previously reported, Clark&rsquo;s attempts to defend himself against the allegations were <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/12\/04\/biden-admin-withholds-election-integrity-documents-key-to-jeff-clarks-dc-bar-defense\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stonewalled<\/a> by the Biden administration but were not completely worthless. Last February, the D.C. Court of Appeals&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/02\/26\/in-big-victory-against-lawfare-dc-court-of-appeals-smacks-down-jeff-clark-subpoena\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ruled<\/a>&nbsp;that he did not have to comply with a subpoena from the D.C. Bar&rsquo;s Office of Disciplinary Counsel<strong> <\/strong>after Clark argued it would have violated his executive, law enforcement, deliberative process, and attorney-client privileges, as well as deprive him of his Fifth Amendment rights.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, the quest to indefinitely deprive Clark of his ability to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/d-c-bar-recommends-punishing-trump-doj-lawyer-jeff-clark\/\" title=\"D.C. ...
