Dividend\u2019 checks that could reach ,000 per household - Washington Examiner\">total savings delivered<\/a> by DOGE.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p> <script type=\"text\/javascript\"> \t\t\tif ( getCookie( \"ff_subbed\" ) ) { \t\t\t\tdocument.getElementById(\"stnvideo\").remove() \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>Fishback <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/j_fishback\/status\/1890529485574861296\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wanted<\/a> 20 percent to of the savings to go to American taxpayers and 80 percent to go towards the deficit to which Musk replied, &ldquo;Will check with the President.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Will check with the President<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Elon Musk (@elonmusk) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1891967592048611532?\">February 18, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Fishback concluded, if DOGE saved $2 trillion, the government could provide $5,000 checks to individual taxpayers as a &ldquo;DOGE dividend.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>From Trump&rsquo;s comments Wednesday, it looks like those conversations are happening.<\/p>\n<p>DOGE is shaping up to be the president&rsquo;s strongest weapon amidst whatever backlash Democrats can muster.<\/p>\n<p>Exposing where Americans&rsquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/foreign-aid-hard-earned-tax-dollars-going-enemy-nations-living-large\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tax dollars<\/a> are being spent &mdash; and in many cases wasted &mdash; makes the department a prime target for those officials benefiting from that waste.<\/p>\n<p>The most Trump and Musk&rsquo;s opposition can come up with is labeling the DOGE&rsquo;s work a &ldquo;constitutional crisis.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>How exposing corruption creates a crisis has yet to be explained.<\/p>\n<p>As for the proposal that Trump is now speaking openly about, $5,000 can be life changing for many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rep-jasmine-crockett-suggests-trump-high-approval-rating-americans-stupid-understand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Americans<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After seeing their spending power diminish by way of <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">rampant inflation courtesy<\/a> of the Biden administration, Americans would rejoice if Trump actually made this initiative a reality.<\/p>\n<p>To reiterate, it has only been a month.
