It&rsquo;s that, when they&rsquo;re not specious, they&rsquo;re flat-out wrong &mdash; and provably so.<\/p>\n<p>The most egregious of these was trotted out yet again by Virginia Democratic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-elise-stefanik-makes-tim-kaine-look-silly-pretends-democrats-care-border-security\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sen. Tim Kaine<\/a> on &ldquo;Fox News Sunday&rdquo; this weekend, when he claimed President Donald Trump&rsquo;s administration was waging a war on veterans, and that DOGE posted &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/iran-executes-us-resident-in-apparent-retaliation-for-israeli-strikes\/\" title=\"Iran Executes US Resident in Apparent Retaliation for Israeli Strikes\">classified information&#038;rdquo<\/a>; on its website.<\/p>\n<p>That &ldquo;classified information,&rdquo; as it turns out, is from a readily available federal database &mdash; and the last time &ldquo;status data&rdquo; was posted to it was in May of 2024.<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who don&rsquo;t follow these whole &ldquo;election&rdquo; things (looking at you, Democrats), the president then &mdash; nominally, at the very least &mdash; was Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.<\/p>\n<p> <script type=\"text\/javascript\"> \t\t\tif ( getCookie( \"ff_subbed\" ) ) { \t\t\t\tdocument.getElementById(\"stnvideo\").remove() \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>The exchange came after host Shannon Bream quoted a piece by <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/opinion\/congress-blog\/5143032-democrats-musk-doge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hill<\/a> opinion columnist Liz Peek, which accurately summed up why <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/media-freaks-1-doge-employee-getting-irs-access-learn-biden-gave-919-people-access\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attacks on DOGE<\/a> are likely a losing cause for the Democrats: &ldquo;Their relentless attacks on Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency make it clear which side they&rsquo;re on. The referenced &ldquo;classified information&rdquo; is actually public FedScope data, posted publicly by OPM (Office of Personnel Management) in March 2024. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VjECnq2KKj\">https:\/\/t.co\/VjECnq2KKj<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/AHwLx3jmfu\">https:\/\/t.co\/AHwLx3jmfu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Department of Government Efficiency (@DOGE) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DOGE\/status\/1891367329616760989?\">February 17, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>In fact, peruse the DOGE <a href=\"https:\/\/doge.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a> and virtually everything is linked to sources that are available to anyone who bothered to search for them, because it&rsquo;s information that&rsquo;s supposed to be publicly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/acting-social-security-commissioner-clash-doge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">available<\/a> anyway.<\/p>\n<p>But again, this is another case of &ldquo;Elon Musk has your data OMG panic!&rdquo; syndrome, something the Democrats have been relying on in order to create fear and loathing of DOGE.<\/p>\n<p>Because the world&rsquo;s richest man, who previously launched PayPal, a financial services company which was trusted to collect data from millions of people, really wants your Social Security number and personal data to do something untoward with it, but it&rsquo;s safe with middle-class federal government bureaucrats.<\/p>\n<p>Is that really the argument we&rsquo;re expected to buy?<\/p>\n<p>Eventually, people see through that if they&rsquo;re willing to &mdash; but declassifying data sounds far more treacherous. If only the accusation were based in fact, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-backed-navy-vet-wins-senate-primary-will-face-off-tim-kaine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tim Kaine<\/a> might really be onto something there.
