There is no bad blood between Trump and Musk<\/h2>\n<p>The interview could have gotten off to a rocky start when Hannity mentioned the $10 million settlement between Trump and X.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I sued from long before he had it,&rdquo; Trump clarified. &ldquo;And I sued, and they had to pay. You know, they paid a $10 million settlement.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Musk did not seem to be upset by the question, either.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I left it up to the lawyers and, you know, the team running Twitter,&rdquo; Musk said. &ldquo;I said, &lsquo;You guys do what you think makes sense.&#8217;&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>Trump joked about giving Musk a good rate on the settlement.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;He got a big discount. I don&rsquo;t think he even knows about it,&rdquo; Trump said.<\/p>\n<p>Trump and Musk heaped praise on each other throughout the interview, with Trump pointing out how Musk&rsquo;s Starlink helped victims of Hurricane Helene communicate in North Carolina and Musk admiring Trump&rsquo;s resiliency in the face of endless attacks.<\/p>\n<p>The interview also eliminated the narrative to portray jealousy between Trump and Musk through rhetoric, including by referring to Elon Musk as &ldquo;President Musk.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Musk&rsquo;s role in ensuring the enactment of Trump&rsquo;s executive orders and DOGE&rsquo;s battle with bureaucracy<\/h2>\n<p>During the interview, Trump said Musk pushed agencies to enforce his executive orders.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;[Musk] said, &lsquo;You know, when you sign these executive orders, a lot of them don&rsquo;t get done,&#8217;&rdquo; Trump said. &ldquo;He would take that executive order that I&rsquo;d signed, and he would have those people go to whatever agency it was, &lsquo;When are you doing it? Get it done. Get it done.&rsquo; And some guy that maybe didn&rsquo;t want to do it, all of a sudden, he&rsquo;s signing.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Musk revealed that a large part of DOGE&rsquo;s mission is to ensure the enforcement of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pinkerton-bidens-great-reset-comes-to-the-nearest-bathroom\/\" title=\"Pinkerton: Biden&#039;s Great Reset Comes to the Nearest Bathroom\u00a0\">presidential executive orders<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Musk&rsquo;s role, however, extends beyond that. He said he seeks to reduce the power of the bureaucracy that is undermining the will of the people.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The president is the elected representative of the people, so he&rsquo;s representing the will of the people,&rdquo; Musk said. &ldquo;If the bureaucracy is fighting the will of the people and preventing the president from implementing what the people want, then what we live in is a bureaucracy and not a democracy.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Musk has served in an advisory role for some of Trump&rsquo;s Cabinet picks.<\/p>\n<p>Trump implied that Musk suggested the nomination of Kristi Noem for secretary of homeland security.<\/p>\n<p>Musk, through his role as an adviser, may be a big reason why Trump is more effective in enacting policies than when he was in his first term.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Musk wants to cut $1 trillion in wasteful spending<\/h2>\n<p>DOGE has reportedly cut over $50 billion in unnecessary spending. Musk, however, is shooting for more.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The overall goal is to try to get a trillion dollars out of the deficit,&rdquo; Musk said. &ldquo;If the deficit is not brought under control, America will go bankrupt. This is a very important thing for people to understand. A country is no different from an individual, in that if an individual overspends, an individual can go bankrupt, and so can a country.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Trump said he believes that Musk can accomplish his task. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;As good as [DOGE] are, they&rsquo;re not going to find some contract that was crooked as hell,&rdquo; Trump said. &ldquo;There&rsquo;s going to be so much that isn&rsquo;t found.
