The aggressor nation wants all its territorial objectives, not part of them. Germany wanted to conquer all of France in World War I, but never made it to Paris.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/north-koreans-getting-picked-off-reality-existence-makes-unfit-modern-battlefield\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Korea<\/a> wanted all of South Korea in the 1950s, but got none of it. Iraq sought all of Kuwait in the Gulf War in 1991, but was forced to retreat completely from it.<\/p>\n<p>So the proper response to these &ldquo;intelligence officials&rdquo; regarding <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-strikes-respectful-tone-putin-sends-serious-threat-can-easy-way-hard-way\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Putin&rsquo;s<\/a> desires is, &ldquo;Tell us something we don&rsquo;t already know.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, the Russian president certainly anticipated the conquest of Ukraine would be relatively easy and his forces would take Kyiv in a matter of weeks. It didn&rsquo;t work out that way, but such are the vicissitudes of war.<\/p>\n<p>Now the conflict has reached pretty much a stalemate and both Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-details-lengthy-highly-productive-talk-putin-hints-successful-conclusion-ukraine-war\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> Trump during phone calls last week they want peace, so the U.S. president sent a team to Saudi Arabia to meet with Russian officials Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Vice President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fact-check-shock-video-shows-euro-defense-leader-crying-jd-vances-scolding-accurate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">J.D. Vance<\/a> also met with Zelenskyy in Munich to discuss possible peace terms.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Zelenskyy said he will only agree to meet in person with Russian leader Vladimir Putin after a common plan is negotiated with U.S. President Donald Trump,&rdquo; the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/vance-rubio-munich-security-conference-ukraine-ab2d7379aaf6ca224cc51e1f9ade9edf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Associated Press<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We want peace very much, but we need real security guarantees,&rdquo; Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Vance said, &ldquo;Fundamentally, the goal is, as President Trump outlined it, we want the war to come to a close.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We want the killings to stop.
