CRA President Will Donahue told the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> that the organization has a policy in which its chapter members cannot speak to &ldquo;hostile, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">left-wing news outlets&#038;rdquo<\/a>; without approval from the CRA board, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-throws-border-security-deal-in-congress-further-into-doubt\/\" title=\"Trump&#039;s actions cast doubt on Congress&#039; border security deal\">citing previous instances<\/a> in which members have had quotes &ldquo;misconstrued.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;In terms of what she actually said, the <em>Vanity Fair<\/em> article seemed to want to run a hit piece against Barron Trump and paint him as something that he&rsquo;s not, and so rather than deciding to say, &lsquo;No, Barron Trump is very normal for his situation on campus. He is the president&rsquo;s son. Many students are commuters,&rsquo; she decided to use imprudent word choices that were taken out of context and ended up making the organization look bad,&rdquo; Donahue told the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Donahue said CRA spoke with Walker and learned that &ldquo;her exact words&rdquo; were used in the piece on Barron Trump, meaning CRA had no grounds for a libel lawsuit.
