Most of them center on the same problem &mdash;&nbsp;whether or not his quasi-government agency can access government data. In a separate suit, 14 Democratic state attorneys say that giving DOGE access to government data is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3321881\/judge-skeptical-challenge-bar-musk-federal-data\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"several lawsuits\">unconstitutional<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Musk has acted with breathtaking speed as he seeks to cut what he describes as trillions of dollars of government waste, which has drawn blowback from Democrats and labor unions. <\/p>\n<p>The IRS is DOGE&rsquo;s latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3321794\/doge-collision-course-irs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">target<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>DOGE is requesting access to the IRS Integrated Data Retrieval System, which contains personal tax information for millions of people.<\/p>\n<p>IRS employees use the system to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/doge-on-collision-course-with-irs\/\" title=\"... on collision course with ...\">review tax information<\/a>, update taxpayer records, and issue notices. The inquiry itself has set off more alarm bells about privacy problems and potential data breaches, though Musk maintains there may be corruption within the agency.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We do find it rather odd that there are quite a few people in the bureaucracy who have ostensibly a salary of a few hundred thousand dollars but somehow managed to accrue tens of millions of dollars in net worth while they are in that position,&rdquo; Musk said last week while in the Oval Office with Trump. &ldquo;We&rsquo;re just curious as to where it came from.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Musk first caused a stir when DOGE demanded access to the Treasury Department&rsquo;s payment system. Democrats used the situation to push <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3316664\/trump-vows-revitalize-dc-warring-washington-workforce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"strong messaging\">strong messaging<\/a> that an unelected billionaire is looking to access the private information of hardworking people.<\/p>\n<p>In the IRS lawsuit, the plaintiffs say that DOGE would have access to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/doj-4-chinese-nationals-charged-in-connection-with-global-hacking-campaign\/\" title=\"DOJ: 4 Chinese nationals charged in connection with global hacking campaign\">confidential business information<\/a>, IRS investigations, Social Security numbers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-reject-measure-to-prevent-irs-from-collecting-americans-sensitive-banking-information\/\" title=\"Democrats Reject Measure To Prevent ...
