Klobuchar then stated she hoped that her colleagues in Congress would show a similar level of &ldquo;fortitude&rdquo; against Trump, specifically on remaining administration nominees who have yet to be confirmed, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/watch\/1963229\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">FBI director nominee Kash Patel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Former federal prosecutor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3321260\/trump-doj-risks-undermining-integrity-eric-adams-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Shan Wu told the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em><\/a>  that the order to dismiss Adams&rsquo;s bribery case was &ldquo;&#8203;&#8203;a great blow&rdquo; to the reputation of the Justice Department. Conservative legal analyst Dan McLaughlin has similarly deemed the move &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-doj-risks-undermining-its-integrity-with-eric-adams-saga-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Trump DOJ risks undermining its integrity with Eric ... saga - Washington Examiner\">galactically stupid &#038;amp<\/a>; dangerous policy&rdquo; on the part of the Trump administration.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The attempt by the Trump administration to dismiss the mayor&rsquo;s bribery case comes as some have raised the possibility of President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Donald Trump<\/a> granting a pardon to Adams, which Trump himself stated in December that he would &ldquo;certainly&rdquo; look into it.
