Kennedy Jr. as secretary of Health and Human Service, and Tulsi Gabbard as the nation&rsquo;s intelligence czar.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"zxx\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/J5xnOUDsw1\">pic.twitter.com\/J5xnOUDsw1<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realDonaldTrump\/status\/1889332439241085203?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 11, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script data-cfasync=\"false\" src=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/cdn-cgi\/scripts\/5c5dd728\/cloudflare-static\/email-decode.min.js\"><\/script><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>    <\/p>\n<p>He also put everyone on notice that he won&rsquo;t be messed with, symbolically displaying his Georgia mug shot in the hallway to the Oval Office and kicking the <em>Associated Press<\/em> off Air Force One until the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">news agency stops calling<\/a> the Gulf of America by its old name.<\/p>\n<p>Our graders, like the rest of us, could barely keep up with the moves. Pollster John Zogby graded the week a &ldquo;C,&rdquo; saying, &ldquo;Too much all at once.&rdquo; Conservative grader Jed Babbin dished a &ldquo;B-minus,&rdquo; and said he easily could have doubled his weekly list of Trump actions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jed Babbin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Grade: B-<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>President Donald Trump had a good but not great week, taking actions that ranged from imposing tariffs on steel and aluminum imports to pardoning former Illinois Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Rod-Blagojevich\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Rod Blagojevich<\/a> and creating a  &ldquo;Gulf of America Day.&rdquo; Trump and his team also seem to be swinging wildly at an attempt at peace in Ukraine.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>When the Hamas terrorists canceled further hostage releases, by far the biggest thing Trump did was set a Saturday deadline for Hamas terrorists to release all hostages. In last week&rsquo;s release of hostages, everyone saw how they were being starved and mistreated. The Israeli cabinet agreed. The Israelis threatened to resume fighting in Gaza unless Hamas releases all the hostages. Hamas, in the face of Trump&rsquo;s words and Israeli cabinet action, caved in and agreed to continue the hostage releases on Saturday.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Trump had a 90-minute conversation with Russian President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Vladimir-Putin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Vladimir Putin<\/a> on Wednesday about Ukraine and other topics. There&rsquo;s no movement on Ukraine so far, but the conversation between the two leaders began the process. But the Trump team of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Vice President JD Vance were swinging wildly, giving Putin concessions before the negotiations started and also threatening Russia with sanctions and possible U.S. military action. This is the biggest screwup by Trump&rsquo;s team so far.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Several of Trump&rsquo;s actions, such as offering buyouts to federal bureaucrats, have been hassled by the courts despite the actions being clearly within Trump&rsquo;s power. Those decisions by activist judges are being appealed.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>EPA Administrator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Lee-Zeldin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Lee Zeldin<\/a> moved to recoup the more than $20 billion former President Joe Biden spent on &ldquo;climate change&rdquo; nonsense in his last 20 days.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Just this week:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Trump revoked the security clearances of Biden, former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, New York Attorney General Letitia James, and Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Jordanian King Abdullah agreed to accept 2,000 Gaza <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/children\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">children<\/a> with serious diseases after Abdullah said he&rsquo;d go to war with Israel rather than take a single emigre from Gaza.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Attorney General Pam Bondi opened lawsuits against New York City and Chicago for refusing to cooperate in the deportation of illegal aliens.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Trump threatened &ldquo;reciprocal&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/tariffs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">tariffs<\/a> on nations, including many in Europe, which charge tariffs on our goods. It&rsquo;s a fair thing to do, but the Euros (and others) will be whining.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Plastic straws were ordered back into federal facilities.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Higher capacity toilets (that actually flush) and incandescent light bulbs (that actually shed light) were returned.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Fort Bragg, renamed Fort Liberty, was named Fort Bragg, successfully end-running a law banning the use of Confederate officer names for military bases. Trump got around the rule&nbsp;by finding a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/World-War-II\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">World War II<\/a> hero of the Battle of the Bulge, Pfc. Roland L. Bragg.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Four federal employees were symbolically fired for sending about $59 million to New York to house illegals in hotels.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>John Zogby<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Grade: C<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>We all have experienced that moment when an outrageous joke moves rapidly from tears, to breathlessness, to choking. This is merely the fourth week of President Donald Trump&rsquo;s second term and I am choking. Too much all at once.<\/em><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"02.14.25 - Dissecting MAGA 2 0 Vs  Anti Trump Coalition\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/AzDGrQri20w?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p><em>Just this week, there were new tariffs worldwide; more elimination of federal jobs and agencies; resignations in the Justice Department <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3321260\/trump-doj-risks-undermining-integrity-eric-adams-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">over demands to drop charges against New York City&rsquo;s mayor<\/a>; new court rulings both halting and allowing for presidential actions; firings, resignations and cancellations at the famed Kennedy Center; a new definition of diplomacy from moral suasion, national interest and negotiation to outright bullying, scolding, leveraging foreign aid, and a my-way-or-the highway attitude.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The president is deciding the future of Gazan and West Bank Palestinians, as well as Ukrainians, without any actual participation of Palestinians or Ukrainians. Whew! On the other hand, Trump found some important common ground on terrorism and a new Silk Road with fellow certified bully Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>There are signs that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/inflation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">inflation<\/a> is creeping back, and Trump has acknowledged that his tariff and economic plan may cause some pain. At the same time, new applications for unemployment assistance went down this week. His approval numbers remain about the same.
