Several of them have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3319941\/manhattan-us-attorney-doj-officials-resign-order-drop-adams-charges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"resigned\">resigned<\/a> from their posts after they were ordered to drop the case against Adams.<\/p>\n<p>Bove signed off on the motion filed Friday evening, along with Edward Sullivan of the Justice Department&rsquo;s Public Integrity Section. The motion requests the dismissal of the case without prejudice, noting that the proceedings could affect Adams&rsquo;s &ldquo;ability to govern in New York City, which poses unacceptable threats to public safety, national security, and related federal immigration initiatives and policies.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Adams was indicted on federal corruption charges last year.
